When we look at prior decades, we see a lot of advancements. Much of this can be attributed to technological advances, but there are other changes that happen silently. Before smartphones were in all of our hands we still lived in a world where innovations happened and product development occured. We didn’t notice them so quickly, but eventually they’d integrate themselves into our lives.

Now, we accept these things as normal. Anyone who is a Millennial or older will remember a time when the world didn’t have as many options. Eventually we would have a day when we saw a new feature and our worlds were slightly changed.

Often, these innovations could have been released sooner. Companies want people to consume more, but when they’re in need of a quick dollar they mimic existing customer behaviors and put a price tag on them. Now, it’s hard to imagine the world without these conveniences in retail stores.
